Pics of the car I took right after I signed the bill of sales. It’s a lot to work with. The body not in best of shape, but it is a car that has been in one apartment to the next it’s kind of hard to have a car looking good living in an apartment. The engine ran like nothing I have seen in all the eclipses and talons I have looked at. All stock no dumb kid that does not know what he is doing f'ing things up. With a little clean up it won’t look to bad. Check back and rate me. More to come…

Oooo another fun day the timing belt slipped on my talon today. This weekend I will be replacing both timing belts and the water pump so I won’t have to pull it all apart again. luckily my uncle has a trailer with a wench $10 to get it home and put it in my neighbor’s garage so I can take a look at it this weekend.

Look at this I was updating my ride to just before I go fix my timing belt when...

My car is still on auto trader LOL!!!! When he first put it up there he wanted $3500 over email I talked him down to 2,900 Kelly at the time and then the day I bought it I talked him down to $2,300.

I was going to post my project of yesterday, yesterday, but…. I was too ticked off. So this is how it went. I got in my neighbor’s garage and I fix the bumper stinking out since I had the wheel off this is how that went.

Then after that me and my dad stated taking all the pulleys and timing belt cover and found this...

That my friend would be pieces of the balance shaft belt stinking throw the timing belt cover. The person who I had bought the car from had the timing belt and the balance shaft belt replaced about 50,000 miles ago I was planing on replacing it soon but it told me when to replace it along with a new head. The crapy napa belt broke got into the timing belt and did this...

Now we have all the covers off and the belt off we look at the cam gears and the intake cam turn 360 with the push of a finger so we take off the valve cover and find that all the intake rockers are in the bottom of the head and the intake cam has chucks taken out of it. That is all the rockers after I fished them out.

So we pull the head off to look at the piston they have some what of indents but not bad ones. But this is what it did. It took out all the intake valves and cam ooooo I was in such a good mood....NOT!!! Here are the pics of the valves and the head off.

Now I’m looking to get a used head with ever thing on it or get this one redone one of the two. Check back later maybe I’ll have it running again in a week or two I hope.

This was a good day got a head with cams. Thanks to Rev-Hard Inc. in Rock Island, IL. I got the car back in one peace and started it up at 3:00 in the morning. Here is the head and some of the work we did to it. We cleaned all the valves and seals.

We had time to spare so I was cleaning my valve cover. And the guys and Rev-Hard gave me and my dad an idea for a valve spring compressor here they are.

Ran in to one problem the cam is form a 96 and below so it was not drilled and taped for the cam sensor. So what to do we drilled and taped it and it worked just like the factory ones. Here are the pics of that and the ARP studs.

Then I replaced that battery three days later cause that went out. Went with the best the yellow toped optima. But now everything is running great. o yea got a new tall light for $20 cause the right side one was cracked and other misc. other pieces in the car that where broke like the sun visor holder stuff like that.

Today was the worst day I have had in a long time going up a s curve hill at 40mph and the posted limit is 40mph and the car in front of me stops to turn on a street so I step on the brakes and the rear end of my car slides out to the right so I try to correct it and turn to the left my car turns more and spins all the way around and i find me self in a ditch when it is all said a done i think a tire blow out on me that is what I think spun me around but not sure. I could have just been the cheep Goodyear tires that are like ice-skates in the rain (still have over half the tried). Any ways now I’m just waiting to see if the insurance will pay for it or will my car be totaled out. I hope they won’t total it out I’m tired of seeing more and more in the junkyard. But here are the pictures or what the little trees and the ditch i was in did to my car will up keep updates on the repairs as soon as I start on them.
