I found this 1926/27 model T cowl in a creek a few weeks ago, and brought it home a week later.   Im really not sure, what to do with it, but im really itching to fix it up and patch everything up. Call me crazy,  I'm kinda thinking about building a hotroded woodie out of it. Im actully in the middle of sketching out how i want it to look.  It'll probably be a while before i get around to buying parts and stuff for it, becuase i have a 68 camaro im in the middle of restoring right now, and that car means alot to me.

I know that if Im wanting to drive this on the street, I'll have to register it as a home built, but I dont know much about doing that so has anyone done anything similar to this and knows how to register something like this?

Anyways, i have 2 other rides here on Cardomain, if you want, go to my profile and check'em out :D

After some bending and hammer and dolly work,i still have some straightening left.dhollingsworth11's 1927 Ford Model T

Still has the driver's side door, and the steering column with both levers on it.dhollingsworth11's 1927 Ford Model T

This is how i found it in the creek, with a few rusty and twisted bits of the body. There was another T in the same creek, but this was easier to bring home.

The other T in the creek that looks like the same year as the cowl. I did manage to salvage a few parts off this car, including the sterring column. I'm really tempted to bring in some cutting tools and cut off that rear section of the car.

I dunno what the hell happened to this one but something big had to have hit this one.

A drawing I did of how i want the beast to look.  Who know I'll prpbably change the design as years go by cuz im that picky of a perfectionist!

It looks a little worse than mine did when I started. But that rear section in the sixth picture looks a bit better than mine did. I need to scan the early photos of my T so I can post them I did not have a digital camera when I started building it. Good luck anything can be fixed with time an the skills you will aquire as the project moves forward.

Wow... that is a lot of rust for anywhere.. I love creek finds, I get so much enjoyment out of that sort of thing! But I think that is a mind boggling amount of work that is not nessesary... I have several roadster/Touring cowls here, if you want one! Mine are all reasonable and not rusted like that, and my roadster has a good one, I have a touring body I am keeping for the time being and it does'nr need one, and my other T is a TT truck (I have that one on my CarDomain) so it's a different type all together, so I don't need the extras! I'm in Alberta Canada, (the texas of the north, I kid you not LOL) so I'm not too far away! I'll post some photos to photobucket as soon as I can if you're interested!
