Welcome to my 96 caprice 9c1 . I was originally in search of a 94- 96 Impala SS. Then I ran Across this beauty It's a former Oak Park Sheriffs car. At the time I bought her she had approx 75K on her milage. Now i've had her for 2 yrs and she has 125k on her. I never missed a tune-up or oil change. And I have all the police maintenance records for her that date back to 1996. I actually continue the tradition. I bought her for $5,000. And yes shes all LT1 .
So far I've had 3" Flowmaster exhaust (installed 40 series), SilverLine Camaro SS Tips , MSD ignition , OBD-2 code scanner (Don't fool yourself, this is a must), replaced the starter , and a rebuilt 4L60E transmission tucked under. (These trannys are notorious for going out at around 100K miles.) Installed a Jet T-Stat , Jet Performance's Fan controller switch (triggers my fans at lower temps) an extra 5 hp boost trick. Changed out her O2 sensors and did her tune-up. She purrs like a kitten. But her acceleration roars like a BEAST !
She still has the antennas on her top and trunk. Also the Spot light still functions.
