08/27/09 - Well, I apologize for the lack of updates. Work has been slow for me. Less work = less money = less parts. Therefore, since I can't afford to get the parts to put on the truck at this time, I have been taking my time and slowly picking away at tearing it down. As I see it, once it's fully torn down, I'm out of things to do on it, so I'll just go slow. At the moment, it's down to the cab, front suspension, rear end, fuel tank, and steering column. Everything else is removed. I'll get the fuel tank and column out soon, no rush, but the rest will stay there until I've got the new parts to put back in.
I did some measuring to find that the bolt pattern on the Stude is 5 on 5...same as my 2wd Chevy. So I decided (before I tore it down) that I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't throw the 20's on there to see what it looked like.
Here's a couple of pics of it the day I brought it home. That 3 car garage in the background - that's it's new home.
Pics of the rad (for sale), also the motor (for sale), which is now out.
