DAVE'S STUDEBAKER 2R PROJECT
This is my new project, a 1950 Studebaker 2R. It's complete and all original - for now. Hopefully, it won't stay that way for long. I have a realtively detailed plan for this truck, but I'm not going to spill it all now...don't want to ruin the suspense. As the truck is built the plan will unfold. And I have good intentions of keeping a detailed photo journal on here of the build, so anyone interested will be able to follow along.
I bought this truck from a family in Olds, Alberta, Canada. The story goes that this truck belonged to the grandfather of the wife. It had been in storage for approx. 25 years, which is backed up by the Saskatchewan license plate that was last registered in 1980. It looked to be in pretty good shape, but, as it tends to do, closer inspection revealed it to be rougher than first though. Oh well, it's mine now. I hauled it home on April 18, 2009.
It's worth mentioning now that while this is a complete stock truck now, since it won't be staying that way, PARTS WILL BE FOR SALE AS THEY ARE REMOVED. If any of the parts for sale interest you, let me know ASAP. If I start to run out of room, I'll just wind up throwing them out and then everyone is out of luck, so by all means, let me know if there's something here you want. Also, shipping costs will be added on to the price as required.
The parts list so far includes:
Bench seat - needs recovering, but frame is in good condition - $10 + shipping
R adiator - sold as-is - $15 + shipping
Driveshaft - for short wheelbase Studebaker 2Rs - $10 + shipping
