I keep mine in D and the the VTM-4 do the work on it's own for the most part. If I'm going through a particularly deep section I'll put it in 1 or 2 with the VTM-4 lock in. I also pull the fuses for the VSA. I dont want that kicking in when the wheels start spinning.
