I have a 1986 Ford Ranger XL 4x4.  Its mostly stock with the 2.9L and 5 speed manual.  The body has some rough points.  I've made some improvements here and there.  I did have a lot of plans for it but, I'm in college now and dont have the time or money anymore.  And it is an old truck.  I do enjoy it a lot though, its fun.

Know what you mean with lack of funds, better to maintain it in running condition. Upgrade when the chance arrives, looks like it's holding up well, good luck.
