My new toys: Yamaha R1 behind the BMW 528i. Kawasaki zx6r chromed polished, BMW yellow paint. The Yamaha was stolen after owning it for 1 month made me cry. Damn thiefing New Yorkers. The Kawasaki was wrecked in Jersey along with my knees. Couldn't walk for 3 months but I'm good now. Replaced it with the R1. Bikes are bad luck for me. Plan on getting another R1 this Spring 2009 and some really big chains.

This is what is in the trunk of my Mercedes S430. 2 Polk momo 10" 4 ohm subs. I'm running them at 2 ohms. The car speakers are factory (too much trouble to change them. The Bose subwoofer in the rear deck is still connected. The bass is nice and tight. I'm running a class D amp at 900 watts RMS. I turn it up about 1/2 way since the momo's can only handle 600 watts max and 300 watts RMS. I've gotten older now so the tv's and video games are not going in this car. Took pictures of the trunk and forgot to take pictures of the car. Unlike the Legend
My 4 month old, fresh coat of white, paint job. 1992 Legend sitting on 17" 8 spoke gt racing alloy rims. No chrome here, too many thieves in NYC.

A side/rear shot of my legend.

A shot of my 8000K HID headlight. Bright as hell I don't know how I drove at night without these babies. Must have been squinting. It's like driving in the sun shine all night long.

I have 2 tv's cut into the lining of my trunk. There is a story behind this idea that involves a stripper, a camcorder and some head, but that's another web site.

My components are mounted vertically on a swinging amp rack in my trunk. If I swing this up I have access to my subs, fuses and wiring. There are 2 800 watt chrome(for reflection) crunch amps, 2 one farad rockford fosgate capacitors, a vcr(I only watch the simpsons and seinfeld, so I don't need a DVD player), and my 6 disc alpine cd changer connected to my factory radio.

Here is a shot of the entire trunk open. The spare tire is still accessable. You always need a good spare messing with NYC potholes. I once messed up 2 rims and lost air in 3 tires in one night because of a missing slab of concrete in NYC. More dangerous than thugs --> potholes in NYC. That's the look everyone walking by gets. There is only one missing part you can't see here.

Here is that missing part, the strobe light. That is why I needed chrome amps. I took out the bulb for the factory trunk light and wired the strobe to the trunk switch. So, when the trunk is opened the strobe comes on. Handy for when you're on the side of the road changing wheels, so you can be seen. Messing with NYC potholes

Here are my 2 alpine type R, 2 ohm, subwoofers. They are in 2 Q-logic boxes. I had to use the q logics for depth purposes. I still have 75% of my trunk space available. There is also a color changing neon tube above the boxes. It looks really nice with the neon reflecting off the silver cone of my subs.

Here is my 6.5" tv mounted right behind the shifter. I can also take it out the car with one cable connection. That combined with my factory radio with 7 band EQ helps the car to look factory, if you are looking through the windows, night or day. One screen in side the car, screw the backseat passengers they could walk. In fact I never have backseat passengers. They wear out your shocks. If they want to watch tv they could lay in the trunk.

Another shot of my screen, with the factory radio behind it.

Yet another shot of my screen, there is nothing like some bomber man to pass the time.

Here is a shot of my 1 inch pioneer tweeter cut into the passenger side door. I also have it's component brother below. A 6.5" pioneer midrange connected to a passive crossover. In the back I have 4 way pioneer 6x9's. The sound is clean and crisp. Good lows but I can hear every note, highs and mids with this setup. I only need a better (not bigger) box for bass.

A shot of my two switches. One is for my sub neon light, the other is for my headlight strobes. These are installed on the underside of the armrest.
All the work was done by me in my garage. My only problem is my bass. I'm just not willing to sacrifice trunk space or a stupid amount of money for the bass. I have deep bass, and a lot of it, but I would like it to be tighter. In fact when I open my trunk the bass inside the car sounds much better. Any suggestions?
Mercedes S430 standard equipment. Nothing special. It was a replacement for my BMW528. Got the Benz to make me feel better after my Yamaha R1 motorcycle was lifted from the fron of my job. Felt a little better, but nothing can replace the bike.

One of my other rides. I was heavy into radio control cars before I realized I was burning money. So I gave them all away and retired for 10 years. This is the only car I kept. I bought a new engine and popped it in. Now I remember how fun an RC car can be. Kind of like riding a motorcycle, carefree.
