Page 2 - Fixing it up my way ;)

I bought this Nova in January of 2009. When i bought the car i didnt know what i should have been looking for. Now having the car for 3 months or so I have noticed alot of things i should have noticed before I bought it. When i saw the car and heard the engine I had to have it though, I was so stoked. THEN I drove it, and that was it. I paid 3000$. The trunk had been Tubbed but not very well. Holes everywhere in the trunk from bad weatherstripping. The seats were from a honda mouted through the body.

Engine

The engine ran fine when i bought it, just a little oil leak, and thermostat leaking. I think the lifters or cam may be worn because i cant stop the tapping in the engine. I have re-lashed the rockers, I may have to take it to a mechanic though. <*re-lashed the valves everything is running good aug. 27 2009> Well Here are some pictures. The carbs stick out the hood thats why theres a huge scoop. The guy told me the engine is a 305. The casting numbers on the heads say the heads are from the 80's for a 305. So i am guessing hes right. I want to switch the engine out to something bigger. maybe a 502 or 454. But i need to re do the front end for a bb.
