After I installed my own custom 3.5in lift, trimmed wheel wells, redrilled hubs to toyota 6-lug pattern, and installed 16in aluminum truck rims with 27.5in snow tires.
Why yes it does look like the tire might hit, I get asked about it a lot. No, I do not get tire rub. The wheel assembly is mounted to an arm that goes to the torsion bar in front of it. When the suspension is compressed the wheel moves towards the rear of the car.
