This is my 1972 Ford Gran Torino. when i brought her home she was in really really rough shape. she looked like she was a school project where the teacher took a sledgehammer to it then said "here kids fix this" there was so much body filler on it that in some places it was an inch thick! not to mention they used lead!
the rear quarters of this car are supposed to have a concave shape and as you san see they are straight. this is also where the lead was. when they put the filler in they didnt use enough hardener and it was pliable you could bend it around and touch the ends before it broke. the front quarters have some rust holes in them and i have repaired them.
this is the patch i cut out.
