This van has been with two familys.Our friend bought it at a auction in portland or in 1987.Used to be a breadtruck.My brother began restoration while our friend worked in florida for the winter.Had new paint,crinsom red,almost looked brown.Had original seats redone,new carpet,took out three on the tree linkage and put hurst on floor.Kept the original 305 in it.The van was ready and waiting for our friend return from florida.But sadly he died of a sudden heart attack on the way,never even got to see it.His widow put it in the garage.On the first time taking it out someone took a key down the side and across the front,all while shopping.She sold the van to our friends sis around 1994.I always had my eye on this van.In 1998 with the 305 wearing out,linkage sticking,flat tire,sitting in the yard.I was able to pick it up fairly cheap.restoration 2.Crate 350,350 turbo shift kit has 12 bolt rear,rechroming,new paint in 2004.Around 12k invested.Sadly my brother,who did first restore 1987,died in the arizona heat in 2005.I dont know if I could part with this van,my late bro having his hands all over it."SHORTY"was made in Canada.Next up,Finish interior, truram exhaust manifolds,3 inch drop,mirror tint windows,ion 138 series wheels.
