This car got a funny history, it was send from Australia to Singapore, to be used by the Embassy, the guy who was the driver for the embassador got so attached to the car that he bought it when he left, took it back to Australia, and had it for 26 years, sold it to a second hand parts guy, but before he got his hands on it, i bought it for $300, in perfect running condition. The old man was sade, and came the next day to take final goodbuy, got more sade because the car was gone, the dismantler told what had happend, and gave him my address.
The old guy came with his daughter and asked for the car, yes i have it, took the cover off and showed him, he asked what was going to happen to the car, i dident say anything, but opende the garage doors so he could see the 262C Bertone and the 242GT, and the i told him that that was going to happen to his old friend( at this stage the old man was crying of happynes) his old freind would not die, but get back to full glory.
I restored it, and took the old guy and his daughter for a trip, went by my house and i got out of the car, told the daughter to keep the car over the weekend and take her dad around.
The old guy have past away, in his will he gave me $300(the money i payed for the car)
After he past away the car was only driven at his funeral, and have a place of honor in my barn
