Another wicked93gs 1966 Ford Mustang post...

another engine picture...this time sitting of finished mounts, which will damp vibration very well, but will have almost no flex up next is the trany mount, also adapting the fiero seat tracks to work in a classic mustang...should be fairly simple compared to the mount brackets(the driver's side ws a bit@# because of the steering linkage)

Another wicked93gs 1966 Ford Mustang post...

picked up a master cylinder from an '85 t-bird...it has a 7/8" bore, making it ideal for a 4 wheel manual disc brake setup...as you can see power brakes are out of the question due to space constraints...a hydroboost system wont work since I dont have power steering...the only other option is electric power steering...which is an upgrade I may go for someday

Another wicked93gs 1966 Ford Mustang post...

This car started life as a 1966 Ford Mustang GT, C code coupe with a vinyl top....at least according to the info plate...personally I couldnt care less about any of that...my plans are as follows Engine: 4.6L DOHC 32v V8Transmission: Tremec T45Front suspension: Heidts Mustang II front suspensionRear suspension: '84 Lincoln 8.8" rear end with 3.5ish gearsBrakes: 4 wheel discSteering: Rack and PinionInterior: Stock except for gauges, seats, and console alright...now for the good stuff...progress.....

Another wicked93gs 1966 Ford Mustang post...

the master cylinder barely clears the valve cover by 1/8" I can grind more off the MC if need be...I think this will be fine the way the engine will move....the brake lines have to have tight radius bends though...the line bending up is just a test line...the real line will of course go down...anyway, the front brakes are now plumbed...rears are tomorrow I think...

Another wicked93gs 1966 Ford Mustang post...

in with the new....the mustang II front suspension comes with....front sway bar, rack and pinion steering, 11.25" front disc brakes, tubular upper and lower control arms, patch panels, heavy duty front crossmember and optional coilovers(I opted for regular shocks, I'll cut the springs to my desired ride height...I also opted for maunal steering, works just fine for me and simplifies things

Another wicked93gs 1966 Ford Mustang post...

some pictures of my tranny mount so far...still need to finish welding the brackets and add gussets for extra support....next is of course the Fiero seats, but I am out of fabrication metal...need to buy more alright....got the fiero seats done today...it was simple...took about 3 hours, some pictures...

Another wicked93gs 1966 Ford Mustang post...

this happens to be an engine from a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII, rated at 280HP....the Cobra and Mach I version are both rated at 300HP(or a bit higher) due to a different intake manifold design and a different camshaft profile, as well as a different tune....I couldnt care less about the cams, but this manifold does kinda suck....I'm thinking about fabbing a sheet metal intake instead...since I dont feel like paying $500 for a used cobra manifold
