I found some thing odd when taking my car all apart.When I took out the dash where the stearing column goes there was some white vinyl from a vinyl top.My top had been relpaced once and this vinal patch I found is an exact match to the new top.I think some one stuck this patch in between the stearing column bracing to show what the original vinyl top looked like.If you can have a look up there to see if you have the same chunk about 4"x4" square hanging down by the column.I'll send you a pic of mine to show what I mean.

It's funny,your car is exactly how my car was when it was built,it's yellow now and in the middle of a complete resto.Check it out when you can.Post some info about your car.If you want your Vin# and fender tag decoded send them to me and I do it for you :) Gave you 5 stars rate mine when you can.
