Well as we all know parts for the Ford Probe are hard to find and definetly hard to customize. But , being that the Probe is one of my favorite cars I am dedicated to making it my own.

After wrecking my brand new Blazer, I decided to step back into the tuner scene again. So I looked for two weeks till I found the right car. I ended up finding this car on ebay For $2200 up in Flint, MI. It was only about two hours away, So I contacted the guy and asked him If I could drive the car before I bought it . If all went well, I would buy the car cash in hand instead of bidding on a car that I didnt even know if it ran or not. If the car ended up being a bust, I only lost $20 in gas.

So me and my girlfriend drove up to Flint and test drove it. The only thing wrong with the car visibly was he had put after market rims on it and cracked one of them So it had 3 good rims and one odd ball. The only thing mechanically was the fact that the check engine light was on but it was also missing on one of the cylinders. After looking a little deaper I soo found out that this guy had put electrical tape on one of the spark plug wires and oil oil had gotten down in the socket well causing it to miss.

Nothing else was wrong , the car had a clean body no rust and only 89K miles on it, so I only payed only half of what the blue book on it was at the time. I ended up bartering with him and got him down to $2000.He left me all the service manuals with the car and all the work that had been done to it. I had a new clutch and flywheel installed a little over two years ago and a new water pump only a week before I bought the car. So with that I new I had good platform to get started on.

I got it home and the first thing I did to it was change out those bad wires and spark plugs. I put the bosch platinum 4's in it. The car ran great. It wasn't missing anymore and the check engine light was off. I went ahead and changed the front brake pads and rotors because they were pulsating.

Other than that the only other things that has went wrong with that car In the year and half that I have owned it was when I put my cold air intake on it I cracked the clutch line and it was letting all of the pressure out of the master cylinder. After a $3 part and rerouting it all was back to good. Then just last week the distributor failed on it because it had a crack on it and it let moisture in causting the rotor to go bad. $400 dollars later and a new distributor cap, rotor, new oil because I tryed to fire it up so many time trying to firgure out what it was, it had mixed oil with gas and fludded the spark plugs. I had replace those again. But no big deal, the car is actuall running the best it has ever ran now. Which leads me to believe that the distributor may have had a crack in it the whole time. But enough talk about the problems with the car.

It is fine now and this is what Stage I'm at right now with it.
