As I had mentioned on Page 6, it has been SO much easier to work on my Jeep with it in the driveway instead of the garage. I wanted my fender flares to be jet black, which they weren't. So instead of getting a Back-to-Black cleaning compound or the like, I made my life easier by just painting them. Plus, I like painting better.
Blocking parts off...
Testing...
Here is what the flare used to look like (this is the opposite side, obviously.)
Now, I went on to do the rest of the flares on that side.
With that side drying and the newspaper off, I took the opportunity to get comparison shots.
I think it's pretty obvious which pictures are the painted flares and which aren't, so I'm not going to caption them.
I also decided to paint the plastic JEEP logo frame cover, since that was faded as well.
To further my obsession with painting, I took the color-matched headlight bezels off, and painted those black too. They're not back yet on; this was just a test to see how they looked. I also painted to screws for them because it looked kinda silly - dark black bezels with shiny silver screws.
