BUILT NOT BOUGHT - THE ONLY WAY TO GO!
I'd like to introduce the world to the "Camino Supreme", a combination of an '85 GMC Caballero and an '84 Cutlass Supreme. (Thanks to all who took the time to vote for the name on my other page) It's a Cutlass in and out and that's why I'm calling it one. This was a 200+ hour project by me (And who knows how many hours in the bodyshop, lots and lots) that took more than a year to complete. Despite the fact that the GMC was built in Ramos Arizpe Mexico and the Olds in St. Therese Quebec, in an oversized one car garage in Brantford Ontario I was able to make them one. All before pictures are from December 19 '07, half done pics are from April '08 and the after pictures are from March 28 '09. Thanks for checking me out and don't forget to rate, I'll do the same for your ride.

Exterior view, driver's side. This is a huge car, about 4" longer than an El Camino due to the bigger header panel on the Culass front end.

A front view. Hello sexy!

Lookin' Good!

Allright I had to put up these six pics, gonna call them the "Hater Set" for anyone who thinks this was easy or just a simple front end swap. I had to widen the F**king car! Sound like a weekend job? I'll put up some more at the bottom of this page, until then I'm not thirsty you can have the rest of my hater-aide....

I went all the way with this, full Cutlass guts. See my El Camino page for more details on the headaches involved with this.

Looks so much better now eh?

I was never a big fan of brown interiors.

Passenger side view. In the backround is my neighbour Dave's new toy, '71 Dodge Polara. That's the original paint too!

Passenger side inside.

From Shatacular to straight pimpin'!

Some rear views of the new and improved. Much better without the plastic bedliner, I like being able to see all the bedrail trim. Gave the bedliner back to my neighbour Ray, he wanted it for his new El Camino.

These before and after are of the rusty 1/4 panels. Again for anyone interested I have a ton of pictures of the inbetween stages on page 3 of My El Camino. Here's a link:

Last before and after set, just for the haters. We had to widen the car so the doors shut flush. Also the body line didn't match. Lucky for me I knew a bodyshop where they've got serious skills.Still think this was easy? Try it and get back to me!
