This is my 85 GMC shortbox. I've had it for over 8 years and it still never seems to be finished. I don't think it ever will be or else life would get too boring. It no longer has the tailpies or chrome tips. I switched from manifolds and dual 2 1/2" exhaust to headers and dual 3" and picked up a full sec in the 1/4 mile. A local guy Marvin built the exhaust from scratch and it turned out awesome. The pipe is all tucked up out of sight and the pipes come out of the mufflers and over the diff and dump. Kinda hard to sandbag w/ 3" sewer pipe hangin' out the back. The headers are Hedman's for 67-69 camaros/ 70-72 chevelles. They fit awesome( didn't even have to pull the spark plugs to install) and they don't hang low like full-lengths if you plan on slammin' your truck.
Here's some pics of me racing in Chetwynd last year, back when I was still running the 461. I ran a best of 13.68 at 98.6 mph but I broke out in the finals of jackpot round (bracket racing).
Have to keep the crowd happy.(the wife, not so much unfortunatly).
