My newest(actually 15+ years old) wheels. :) TOM's Racing Made by Ray's. I really like these ultra rare jdm rally wheels. They were made in the early-mid 90's for Toyota's GT4 RC WRC efforts.

Not much left? I'll paint the floor pan and hollow out the doors somewhere in the near future as soon as I find a sheet of polycarbonate to make some new lightweight windows out of.

Just installed this new AEM meth kit about a month ago. I bought the 5gallon model because I also supply my intercooler spayer as well as my windsheild washer from this same tank. Yeah, I spay Snow performance Boost Juice on my windsheild and intercooler. lol
Big thanks to 7angofragger from srtforums.com for these touched up pics.

April 25, 2010. The neon is alive again after a 3 month vacation with a damaged stock clutch. SPEC cluch has generously come to my aid and I have to say that my initial driving impressions of the SPEC stg3+ are all much better than anticipated for a clutch capable of handling 600 ft/lbs like this stg3+. The pedal is light and the engagement is very smooth. My SPEC clutch rocks.
And yes, I did get a new sponsor. :)

CF side skirts look ok. At least they are better than the broken, falling off, tattered ones that they replaced. and they were cheap. i'm too lazy to replace the door pieces even though the passenger side is cracked.
Is it just me and my screen or do my intecooler bars look crooked as hell in this small pic? Click on the pic and it looks fine.
No, I didn't destroy the finish on a mint oe hood. Far from it, my poor hood has been through hell (including forgetting the hood pins) and is now just a shell with the turbo cooling vent riveted to the underside for cooling and hood regidity. The damage was straightened out with my feet, knees and a log. The original white paint was cracked very badly and my 5 different attempts at flat black looked like sh$t so the only solution was to strip all the paint off and start from scatch. I love the look of raw metals so I wanted to give this a try. I found an outdoor metal coating in a low lustre finish. The result is stunning in direct sunlight and very little effort was put into the artistic value of the grinding swirls + the dents and creases are almost entirely masked. This was only a test run for future possibilities.
Fingers crossed the outdoor metal coating will prove to be durable and fend off the elements. For anyone interested, I used Tremclad satin clear Protective Toap Coat. I could make it much shinier with a can of gloss.

Glad I can't see any of this from the driver's seat.
This was a working car. It has been driven by 100's of 15-16 year olds learning to drive a std shift. Retired the car from driver's ed Jan 2010. Almost 5 years worth of driving lessons and 100+ motorsport's events and it's going stronger than ever. There is nothing but track, dirt and limited street in this neon's future.
A quick pic of the recently almost completed VEX Performance open class Subaru rallycar that I'll be co-driving for Johnny Summers in the Western Canadian Rally Championships. Don't let it's age fool you, it's all built '04 STI underneith with some trick parts from OS Giken, Haltech and TechWorks engineering.
This is our 2010 C.S.C.C. booth at the World of Wheels car show Feb 21, 2010. Six cars and not one of them is a show car.

Yeah, this is the good Atom. This one has the supercharged honda with 300whp. What a machine.
The best of everything for this evo powered fwd lancer rally car. 400hp and a dogbox.

Take a good close look cause this is the cleanest this engine bay has ever been or probably ever will be. I guess my cleaning put the car to the top of the Production Road Racer class. It definately wasn't based on dollars spents cause there were some very high dollar race cars in attendance.

The car ended up covered splitter to diffuser. There are a few autographs in the engine bay that ended up being permanent(no clearcoat in the engine bay). lol

Isn't she sexy? Monica's not too bad either. lol ;)

I kinda like how it looks covered in mud. Too bad I spent a small fortune on car washes last winter cause I was out rallyxing almost everyday. :)

Me, Monica and my neon.
Here's the new Garrett core and cast end tanks. All that's left is welding, mounting and piping this bad boy. Core size 24"x12"x3.5" Not the biggest, but definately one of the best possible set-ups for this car. Building this intercooler and hard piping saved me very little money over buying the very biggest best "bolt on" intercoolers, but the end result made all the hard work worth it.(I'm not a welder or a mechanic so it really was a lot of work.) Thanks for the help Damon.
Feb 2010, the intercooler and piping is complete.
Also removed the entire a/c system.

Thanks for the free tow hook Mark. I've already had to use it and I haven't even driven the car since installing the hook.

I wanted to grind at least some of lettering off, but if I removed all of it, nobody would no that any work was done.

Couldn't beleave it, this came out 100% perfect. I've botched every prior painting project so this was quite an acomplishment.

My buddies talked me into shaving the paint off "I WIN". I wanted to leave it subtle.
The new turbo kit from AGP. The turbo is a Garrett dual ball-bearing GT3076r with a .63 backside with a stainless heatshield and K&N filter . The current wastegate is a Turbonetics 38mm Evolution with a DEI Titanium heat wrapped screamer pipe. The O2 housing and downpipe are also wrapped in the same DEI heat wrap. I'll take pics of the kit installed asap.
Out getting some fresh air on Nov. 23, 09. The physical installation is complete on the new agp turbo kit. I have yet to dyno or start tuning the pcm. My fuel system is all Mopar Stage 2. With this setup, i'm limited to 16or 17lbs but that is a 16 or17lbs that is still there at redline. Agp estimates 330-340whp with this level of tuning. With added fueling, i'm hoping to see 400 whp for next years Time Attack season.

Granettelli plug wires and dodge coil pack. The mopar coil packs seem to be more reliable than the "red" ones.
Aluminum short ram intake that I made last week. It's a 4" aluminum 90 with a vacuum bung to pull vapours through the catch can and a 4" Vibrant silicone connector attaching it to the turbo.

Turbosmart boost tee and my big beautiful and simple 4" aluminum intake.
Turbonetics Evolution 38mm wastegate with DEI heat wrapped screamer pipe, o2 housing and downpipe.
K&N filter, Greddy oil catch can and the red thing is a coolant heater to aid in cold starting(gone).
Custom coolant resevior with level guage and the HKS Race bov mounted on the agp intercooler pipe.

New pics of the custom aluminum rear diffuser. I did some basic research into the aerodynamic fundamentals of diffusers and then set to work fitting a cardboard template to the rear bumper. Once I was satisfied with the fit of the template, it was time to transfer the shape to the sheet of aluminum. It is very lightwieght and all of my unproffesional testing would suggest the that this diffuser combined with front splitter, wing and canards has created a very functional aero combination.
Splitter is now flat black and hanging in VEX's shop for the winter.
The design of the diffuser really suits the car well and seams to be very functional.
I can't wait to see the neon's stance with even more rubber all around with big black fender flairs.
A couple quick pics on Oct. 17, 09 just before the transformatiom from track car to rallyx'r begins.
Rallyx "monster", "superneon", doesn't matter what you call it this car is mean.

Thanks for the help Jen.
Pulled the aero, swapped the brakes back to stock(hp+ pads), raised the coils 5/8" front and 1/2" rear along with softening rebound and compression(rear dampers need a rebuild bad). I also swapped my kumho xs's for yokohama med compound gravel tires for the rallyx the next day.
VEX Performance sponsered cars. They are both a lil beat up and even more badass because of it(means they get driven very hard, very often).
Stoptech ST-40 calipers and 328x28mm 2piece slotted rotors next to their stock counterparts. I have wanted these brakes since before I bought the car. It took me 3 1/2 years to finally buy them.
Note Hotbits DT2 fully adjustable rally coilover with attached remote resevior. This summer I was switching between Hawk hp+ and Axxis Ultimate brake pads. Planning to run Hawk DTC-70's for next years time attack season. Will continue to run hp+'s out back. I run Motul 660 racing brake fluid although that may change for next year.
TSW Jarama 17x8" +35mm with 5mm Eibach spacer and studs. 255/40/17 Falken 615's in these pics. Currently running 245/40/17 Kumho xs's. The wheels are for sale so let me know if you like them.

Gutted and stripped, just a few wires, the shock remote reseviors and the DC sports strut tower brace remain. The spare tire well will also be home to a large water/meth tank in the near future.

Not much left. Driver's airbag is gone now.

Note custom aluminum battery box with Braille lightwieght racing battery. I have since replaced this setup with an Optima 720cca Red Top. In -30 deg weather more power>less weight. Lesson learned, motorcycle sized batteries belong in motorcycles, not winter driven cars.
Note the graffiti covering almost every inch of the car's body. It's dry erase marker from the World of Wheels carshow, all while running rusty steel wheels. It may have drawn more attention than any of the 1/2 million dollar show cars in attendance. It all started with me writing "TOUCH ME, I LIKE IT" on the car's door and opening it up to the public to crawl around in. Kids were swinging from the roll bar and having a great time strapping in to the harness and posing for pics. The exterior was decorated by anyone and every one that wanted to doodle on or autograph the neon.

Pics taken back at Vex's old shop the day after the World of Wheels car show 2009.
