PG. 5)

here are some pics of the junk midas special exhaust that is on the car(the mufflers actually say"quiet flow"...pos! I cant wait to put something respectable under the car,so that I can hear that sweet mtx exhaust note...shifting at 6,500 rpm!

...UPDATE 5/16/09...A set of summit turbo 2 1/2 ofset mufflers,a resonator delete pipe, some adapters, and some muffler clamps...

check out the junk muffler...POS...SHOs aren't supposed to be quiet!,and the other one didnt even have a name on it...and check out what has been driving me nuts since I got the car it was a constant rattleing sound,I knew where it was coming from and I even tried to dent the outside caseing to keep it in place, but as you can see that wouldn't have worked, thats the reason I had to delete the resonator...the damn chunks(yeah 2 chunks where loose in there) where just small enough to go side ways too...that explaines why sometimes she ran like a raped ape,and other times she would be ho-hum

Junk exhaust removed...then I started her up...HAHA what sweet music, yeah my neighbors hate me!!!

dont mind all of the clamps...they are just temporary, when I go to work I am going to weld the seams...
and the only reason that there are hangers holding up my muffler is because......I NEED TO WELD A HOOK ONTO THE MUFFLER TO HANG IT CORRECTLY,AND I HAVE TO DRIVE THE CAR TO WORK TO DO IT.....SO DONT THINK THAT I AM A HACK...
I am going to weld it all togather ,then take some pics...btw the exhaust system NOW SOUNDS RESPECTABLE...a little raspy around 3500+ rpm because of the resonator delete...but its all good!I have to weld the exhaust tips on as well...more pics to follow...I am going to use the tips that I cut off of the O.G.,since they have a unique factory bend to them, and they are stainless!

update 05/18/09... tips in place and every thing welded up...looks good for low buck!

and here are some close up pics...look no coat hangers!

lookin' better,and better!

and here is a pile of CRAP for the junk man!

update...10/20/09...I finished porting the intake about a month ago...I just couldn't decide on what color to paint it...

here are some close ups of the ported and polished secondary runners...

here are some close ups of the primary runners(plenum side)

and here are some close ups of the manifoldend of the runners

as for the color that I picked...lime green, and black...I think it will go very nicely with the green car...

Here are pics of the secondary throttle plates...the tubes will be green, the base will be black...notice the port work on the plenum side!...more pics to follow...

colors finished,and waiting on clear!

Check out the transition into the runner from the plenum...perfect port match, and also check out hthe chamfered plenum hole...this should cause a RAM AIR effect!

here is a couple of more pics of the chamfered plenum holes...many hours where spent on porting this intake...

here is the front(L/H) plenum...again going with the green, and black treatment, along with silver accents

and here is the ford sign on the rear(R/H) plenum

here is the final masking
