The Short Shifter from Creative Compacts is AWSOME!
I think it was more difficult to install then the front sway bar! Not that it was time consuming, it was just tought because I had to pry a bunch of plastic and metal pieces, instead of just haveing tight bolts to remove.
It came with these purple metal risors that lift it a little, but they replace the rubber bushings, so it completely removes the rubbery feeling of the old shifter. Plus it shortens throws by about 30%.
Here are some comparison shots of the stock and short shifter

As you can see, not only is the top portion shortened, but the bottom portion is lenghthened as well, which changes the pivot point.

Here is the short shifter with the risors in incorectly and the shift boot too short

It really makes the car feel sportier. Shifting at first was stiff, but after the grease got worked in, it is solid and precise. Me likey!

That is one hell of a TC. Checked out the website and signed up. Sure would be nice to meet some other Scion owners here in Vegas. Those shots of that turbo make me want to finish my Talon so bad.

Phil, very good job on your TC! I have a solution for your third brake light. I found it here: www.oznium.com under their car lighting section, it is a direct replacement, and instead of lighting only the middle portion of the light it lights the whole thing up. It can be ordered in light or dark smoke. Keep up the good work on your TC, especially the turbo that's really awesome! Check out my 03' 30th Anniversary Edition Pontiac Grand Am GT1 Sedan w/ the SC/T package and let me know what you think. Brian
