This is my 1994 Mercury Sable GS: I bought her with only 115,000 miles. She has a very clean 3.0L Vulcan v6, She recived a rebuilt transaxle at 105,000 miles. I give her regular baths, inside and out. I have owned her as of 03/26/2009 for three months. She is very reliable. The only mods she recieved were a new stereo system with two 5.5" speakers in the front doors, and two 6" by 9" speakers in the rear, and a subwoofer in the trunk. More planned soon. This car replaced my 1988 Mercury Sable LS

gosh dangit, ive been doing this all day. i didnt mean to say engine, i meant to say transmission. its the transmission that people think is bad when its not.

hey, just a warning. if your car ever starts to slam when you put it into gear, or when it shifts down while driving, dont assume its the engine. i have had 2 taurus' and this happened to me. its not the tranny, its the motor mounts. those cars have hydrolic motor mounts that always go out and people get rid of the car thinking its the tranny. this problem is very easy to fix, but those hydrolic mounts are pricey.
