CURRENT
My 5 ***** alarm & engine bay shot
Coupple more new pictures.. I rekn the racing stripes turned out great, what do you guys think compared to with no stripes?
Decided to take the car drag racing, lots of fun sadly I used street tyres and had no traction.. in any gear... x_X 14.5 was my best time, pretty shamefull! lol, will take it back to the track in a coupple of months on slicks and see how it goes.. on the plus side, my driving was really good that day best reaction time of 0.02 :O!
The list of things to do; upgrade front breaks.. again.. add oil cooler, upgrade turbo.
Re tint windows, reupholster some of the interior that hasn't been finished and wire up the sound system again in a portable box so it can come out nice n easy when i need to go racing... not such a long list now :O
Recently dyno tested at 285kw @ rw on 21psi, if turbo is upgraded it will exceed 330kw, no plan to upgrade turbo for a while... 500 torque, very happy with how the car goes, although I expected the current turbo to take it past the 300kw margin.. probably the last made in china part in the engine bay :( well, i'm now using the car to help advertise my company (fatcat) www.fatcatgigs.com and I thought race stripes would be a good way to celebrate the car being near finished...

1994 Nissan Laurel (Made in New Zealand)
The car has a bit of a past and history (7 years and all..)
My parents bought me this car for my 18th bday from a car yard for $7000, I was guttered the turbo Mr2 I wanted had been sold earlier that day; however I liked the size of the laurel, and sinec it was an upgrade from a Ford lazer; it sure as hell felt powerfull. The laurel was in fair condition; good paint on the exterior, good conditon engine, however it was a standard rb25de (2.5L non turbo) and automatic.
The interior really bugged me; as it had been an ex rental car it had many cigarette burns and things that reminded me it was a 2nd hand car. Before I could get to doing up the interior; the gearbox blew, so a manual conversion was in place. One thing lead to another and many thousands of dollars later the car is what it is today... A fully custom Nissan Laurel. Love it or hate it... this car was build to suit me :)
The current setup is a rb25det engine with a To4E turbo.
Internals and most other parts are aftermarket or at least GTR quality.
The sound System is a mix of Rockford (15" 1200 watt woofer) Alpine & Sound Stream (pics soon)
The exterior is WEDS 18" wheels, Zhetti quad exhaust system & Aero Body Kit.
