1948 Austin Countryman with Smartcar Drivetrain

The Austin was built out of mostley alluminum making it very light, alot of people dont think the smartcar engine will be able to power it... The Austin came stock with a 40hp gas engine and the one we are putting in it from the smart is a 40hp deisel think she will make a good little driver

UPDATE Sept 20 2008

Body once again put back onto the smart panels and brackets near completrion steering colom and dash brackets installed ... Only hoping for one more of these till shes permanently on there

under carrage of the smart car is near done has been extended and strengthened

Body roughly sittin on the two halfs of the smart car so measurements can be made to start building where the under carrage has to be lengthend and strenghtend 

If you know where a good set of rear doors are please contact me

More Measurments pain in the ass having to take off and on the body  

had to add twenty inches to the length of the smart car, the width of it is all most perfect just need to space out the rear tires a bit
