Chrysler Fifth Avenue
Yes they're ugly and yes they're slow! (in stock form) However they do have lots of potential.
Here is an example of what mine looked like when it was given to me.
The first Fifth I owned had a built trany, the stock 318 with all the lean burn crap removed. 2.5 in. dual exhaust with dynomax mufflers. The thing sounded great. Some guy that had seen it parked in front of my house came up and asked if I wanted another one just like it and Without thinking I said yes. He returned a little while later with keys and a title, he told me where it was and picked it up. Several months passed and my first Fifth was involved in a head on collision with a kia that came speeding around a rain covered corner. The car was a total loss. striped all the good parts off and started on building up the 84'. Here are some pics of where I'm at now.
I'm in the process of shaving the fire wall and doing a wire tuck on the harness.
I've removed the ac, cruise control, and the power brakes. simplicity = reliability!

The harness is going to be moved to the flat spot right in front of the top hinge of the front driver side door behind the finder. So when its done you will not see any of these wires.
I've also removed all of the side trim and the ugly vinal top.
I have gotten a hold of sure grip rearend with rear sway bar, along with a 125 speedo from a diplomat cop car. I'm probably going to use a 727 trany and a 360 that has already been buit by a friend of my fathers. I'll post more pics when some progress is made. This project has been put on hold until my barracuda is completed.
