1991 Jeep Yj Sahara 4.0HO 5speed
This is my 1991 Jeep YJ Sahara Edition. I do it all for the same colored fenders haha. Seriously I bought it off an old fellow who had let it sit for awhile, so it needed a pretty good tune up. New distributor, ngk plugs and wires, and she was running a bit better. Still when it got colder or wet out she would start to run a bit like a bag, changed out a few sensors, before finding what she really needed was a working thermostat. So got that done, and she was running nicely. Shortly after that i bought her an AEM bruteforce cold air intake. I would recommend it. I mean yes, I do not notice a whole hell of a lot of power change, allegedly somewhere between 11-15hp haha. Though she did sound a lot nicer. Oh yes, she's running on some 30x9.5 toyo open country AT's, though i will be changing them hopefully within the month to 31x10.5 Nokian Vativva M/T's. With some Black steel American Racing 767 Rims. Anyways, i needed a new catback system, as the old one was rusting away and i needed to get Aircare, which is incredibly stupid, but either way, I went with the inexpensive Dynomax Turbo Catback system. I have raised her 2 inches with a Full-traction shackle reversal kit. i do a lot of highway driving, and it has made a lot of difference there, as well as the 2 inch clearance is nice, thinking the summer holds some new 2 inch leaf springs and a couple other things, still thinkin on what brand to go with there. I'm looking at inexpensive route, but i mean if its a couple hundred more i will look at it just for the sake of its better. We will see. She has Skyjacker nitro shocks all around, and a Skyjacker steering stabalizer as well. oh yes, the first thing i bought for her was a new best top replace a top. Needed that badly! with the tinted windows in the back, and the Rugged Ridge front slider windows, I believe they are Rugged Ridge, the previous owner bought those. Anyways, inside, i put some mtx tweeters in the factory soundbar, and i bought some enclosures for 6x9 JBL GTO series speakers as well. Head unit is a Panasonic. All in all i am keeping the sound system cheap, as it is just way too easy to break into the jeep, especially in my area. I put on some "Euro style" headlight, and taillight covers on her, mainly just because i like how they look. As well, she has a set of 500w Hella driving lamps on the bumper and soon another set on the windshield. I have a few plans for her, and I am enjoying her much more than any other car I have owned previously. She only has 138,000 kms on her, thats about 86,000 miles for you guys in the US. Anyways she is a real beauty and a continuing project.
