So I went to the wreckers looking for some parts to fix my rusty canadian 89 Mustang and rusty canadian F-150 when I saw this non rusty 1980 Mustang sitting there. It was to be crushed because "people don't need parts for cars that old". So $500 changed hands and I now am the proud owner of yet another mustang. Now that I have torn it down its not as rust free as I thought but its something to do in the off season. The plan is to make it as light as possible, fix the rust and body issues, restore the interior and drive the crap out of it. It will have a drag suspension, a carb 302, an 8.8 with 4.10's and 31 spline axles, t5 manual trans and a black interior. At least thats the plan.
Pics of the day I picked it up.

It was a nice winter day so I thought that I would put the old pony's off of the 89 on it and see how it looks.

How the car sits now during engine building and rust repair

Thanks for looking at my work in progress.
Check out my other cars.
