Hello, and thanks for checking out my ride!

:
I call this car the O.G.,but not O.G. the way you might think...Original Green, because I also own a '92 mtx SHO that is green as well,(I call the '92 the deuce.),but it could also be green because of the money involved in buying parts for that lovely yamaha motor!
SHO stands for Super High Output...this car has one hella awsome motor...its a 3.2 L,dual over head cam,24 valve, solid lifter, secondary throttle plated, deep breathing, high revving wounder!
It all started because I was looking for a project, you know something cool, but practical...something quick, but not expensive...something cheap, but not junk...and above all I wanted something different
< ENTER THE SHO >
..until one day a guy that I work with was looking to sell his sons car('94 SHO atx)it supposedly needed a trans("its leaky" he said), some rear body work, and rear bumper.Sporty car, leather int.even an aftermarket sound system.Judging by how this guy keeps his cars, and hoping that the apple dont fall far from the tree(his kid),and with the asking price of only $300.00,where could I go wrong.
So I bought the car sight un-seen.Well to say that I was shocked about the condition of the car when me and my wife went to pick up the car is an understatement, even she gave me a raised eyebrow, shaking head look when we arived, and even shruged her shoulders when I asked her what she thought about the car!(Hmmm I guess that the apple tree was planted on a hill!)With 5 quarts of atf,and crossing my fingers we made it safely back from Jeresy,to Philly(20 miles with out a problem). This was one of the dirtiest cars that I have ever driven.Once I got it home and started to tear it appart it seemed the more that I took appart the more disheartened I became...no quick project here!
Sadly I didnt take any pics of the car when I brought it home,so trust me she was in sad shape, but I did start taking pics during the tear down/rebuild....this is the walk around to see what I was up against on the exterior...and some engin pics as well,I cleaned the engine up a little before I took the pics.

I am doing this project on a budget, with shallow pockets...It took me a year and a half to get it able to be PA. inspected, with a few extras thrown in,and to this day(03/22/09)I have spent just under $3,000.00 on this car in parts, and expendables including the price of the car...not bad right?,but I only spent $300.00 on the car!...I have done all of this work where it sits, out in the elements...no fancy garage,no fancy tools,no one to help me,just me,my skills, hard work, and determination...so dont hate on it if its not a show piece!I built it to be a driver, and I fully intend to have a ton of fun in this car when itis all finished...and DRIVE IT!!!!HARD!!!!

here are a couple of pics of the outside of the car, during the tear down...(note the color difference between the two top pics, compaired to the rest of them...these top pics are of the car befor the cut, compound, and polish)...

...here is the ext.after wet sanding, compounding, and waxing...looking good!

here is the front of the car,and the back of the car w/rear bumper removed,ah yes and my oldest child...

some pics of the drivers side rear corner w/bumper removed, and the engine, just cleaned up a little

another pic of the stock engine
