Here are some after pics of my Camaro, took 2 1/2 years to restore. These are from a local show.

Me and my grandson, Austin.

Here are pics of my car when I bought it in 1985 while stationed in Hawaii for $200. It it had a 1970 LT1 350 in it that the previous owner blew up. Had to pitch it all away except the cam, got a 1969 350 block from a junk yard for $35 and built it, 11:1 pistons, small cam stock heads. Also had a Muncie 4 speed. Car was a daily driver from 1985 until 1995.

I think it had more sand on the floor then it did carpet.

Had a friend in Hawaii do some bodywork and paint it silver. I think it was in 1986.

1998 some rust was starting to show, sent it out to a restoration shop in Washington state to repair the rust and paint it. Body shop didn't do a very good job.

Looked good after it was done. It wasn't a couple of months till rust started to appear again.

Retired from the Army, moved to PA. Started to work with a friend how was big into drag racing, I got hooked, I needed more power.
Got rid of the tired motor, bought a 4 bolt bored and stroked to a 383, installed a solid lifter cam and World Sportsman heads. Ported the heads and intake. Added alot of chrome and polished aluminum. Also installed a 10 bolt posi with 4.11:1 gears.
Spun a bearing, had to upgrade the engine again, added a solid roller cam and Brodix Trac 1 heads.

Cracks appeared.

Started current restoration in August 2006, A friend, Dave who owns Crocket's Refurbs, installed the quarter panels.

Some rust areas I had fixed in 1998. Body shop packed with window screen and bondo.

Wow, I didn't know how bad the bad repairs were. Never new there was damage here.
Not sure what previous owner did, I had covered with a hunk of scrap metal for a few years. Yes I guess I am an idiot too, or I just didn't have knowledge on how to fix yet.
I guess you just drill alot of holes to get filler to stick, had to replace, New sheet metal didn't fit very well either.

I had some rust in here too, it had to go. Some more trunk rot.

Rust was between the inner and outer dash.
