This is my "Man Van." It's certainly not perfect, it has some dents and a scratch or two, but none of that was my fault and I've come to love it for what it is. I decided to start modding it sort of on accident...one of my friends started adding things to his car so I caught the fever and started too. PLESE don't talk shit about it being a van, if that's the only flaw you can find then go talk trash about Dodge Caravans and Mazda MPVs. Otherwise, please do leave a comment - I really want different people's opinions on what I'm doing, complements are greatly appreciated!

It's certainly not the most beautiful engine bay as you can see but I'll work on that later. The intake however makes a huge impact in my opinion. The car sounds pretty beastly when you give it some gas and then there's the typical suction sound that comes with an intake.

This is what I did to the wheels...just painted steelies, partly because I thought the hub caps looked like shit and one of them was cracked. They're not much to look at standing still but they're ok when I'm moving; and at night they look especially good, the car looks quite stealthy, almost like it's floating. This is in no way a permanent mod, just until I can afford some real aftermarket rims. I also added black locking lug nuts, not that I need them now except for looks but I figure it's a good investment for when I get rims. Updated picture coming soon.

...and here's what I did to the grille...painted it exactly the same way as I did the wheels. The only thing that changed is the honda symbol and a chrome border but it's the little things that count and I honestly like it much better this way.

I got a new Flowmaster muffler welded in to replace the old one, it sounds pretty good but I'll probably take off the resonator and/or change the piping after the muffler to get a little more bark out of it but I'm going to wait to break in the muffler a little bit at the advice of a friend, I'll get a video up with a sound clip so I can get some opinions asap.

The next step looks to be blacking out (smoking) the tail lights , rims, or improved suspension but for anything other than blacking out the lights I'll have to wait for my savings account to catch up with me lol.

Car guys don't like to admit it but minivans are the most useful cars on the road. They have car-like handling, last a long time, are usually very reliable, hold at least 7 people, get decent gas mileage, and haul more stuff than anything but truck-based vans. I hate driving my moms shitty 2004 Ford Freestar SE but it rarely gives us trouble and even saved me and my sister some money when we moved all her stuff back in forth from college. Honestly I'd drive it more often if the handling was better. Its got plenty of road feel, excellently weighted steering and decent power but the excessive body roll. That body-roll is actually the only thing keeping that sucker from actually being fun to drive. I think I could never love a minivan as much as I love my 1998 Olds Intrigue but I can appreciate their usefulness. Keep modding yours. Those vans have a surprising amount of potential. They've even been used as race cars (race vans?). Your on your way to creating a very unique ride.
