THE PROJEKT IS BEING BUILT IN TRUE ORDER WITH THE FOUNDING PRINCIPLES OF OUR CLUB IN MIND: WORK AND DEDICATION.
THE PROJEKT BUILD IS BEING UNDERTAKEN BY AN INEXPERIENCED 20-YEAR OLD KID WHO'S ONLY REAL EXPERIENCE WITH CARS IS BRAKES, OIL AND STEREOS.
AND THIS IS WHAT EVASIVE ILLUSIONS DOES.. WE'RE LOOKING FOR NEW PROJEKTS, NEW MEMBERS, NEW CHAPTERS, AND NEW IDEAS. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED, STOP BY OUR WEBSITE: www.evasiveillusions.com
Bubba's 83 Celica GT

Here's what he had to start with..

The car wasn't even really able to run due to need of a new water pump. It would crank, and they were able to move it onto a trailer, but that was about it.
Evasive saw the dedication this young man had and was willing to offer him an application for prospekt status. That gives him 6 weeks to show us what he can do.. At the end of his prospekting period, the Hampton Roads chapter will hold a vote to determine his eligibility for membership. Since this is a special projekt, part of the agreement for his application acceptance is that the projekt be posted on cardomain for everyone to see and follow along. Stay tuned for the updates!!
Here's where he stands at week #2.. The car runs now and is in the process of being gutted. The seats have been removed.

Week #3.. The car was able to drive to my house today, and the body work has begun. The driver side quarter-panel is now fixed and the black moulding has been removed.

Week 5.. The projekt was post-poned due to a really bad storm fron that never seemed to go away.
Week 6.. This is when the projekt was slated to be inspected for approval. Due to the amount of weather we experienced, the projekt was given an additional 2 weeks.

And in true Evasive form, when a neighbor came by and said he needed help, they stopped what they were doing and gave him a hand. That's what it's all about!

Week 7 & Week 8 have been spent getting the rest of the body squared away and working on a little custom suprise! I know what it is, but I'm not telling.. All I can say is that it's a one of a kind, never been done before on an 83 Celica! Once again, Evasive in true form! Expect to see pics of it when it makes it out to the car meet next weekend, and trust me.. it's worth the wait!!
