Well, here is my project truck. A 1954 IH R100 with stock SD220 inline 6 and three on the tree. Complete with 70's carpeting & wood paneling for custom headliner & door panels. It has alot of, what I like to call, "character". Anyway, It finally warmed up a little and I got the old truck back in the garage. I guess the 'Stang will just sit outside if it snows again.
We finally drug it home this last summer from my wife's grandpa's farm. It belonged to a friend of the family and was parked in the weeds almost 20 years ago. I actually found what was left of the original title in the glovebox! Turns out he was the original owner and bought the truck new in 1955, plus, he financed it at the same small town bank I have been with for years. He had been in poor health lately, but he just happened to stop in to eat at the restaurant my wife worked at. She asked him about it the truck, and he ended up trading it to her for an ice cream cone! (and she gave him a dollar to make it all legal)
So, after hours of cutting down trees that had grown up into it, and trying to drag it around with flat tires & stuck brakes.... two sweaty summer days later, we got it home. It had to sit outside most of the winter though, due to limited garage space. Although I did get a chance one warm day to get the bad gas cleaned out and actually got her fired up! Runs and drives, just needs some brake work. Now, I'm stuck with the dillemma... the original plan was to hot rod it, but with the old SD running, not sure which direction its goin right now....

Had some help from the kids : )

A very dirty... but still running, Silver Diamond

A little rough around the edges with over 90k on it, but still pretty solid over all

Finally got the front brake drums off, right side was stuck pretty good, but the 3-jaw puller got her loose.
My kids were experimenting with my rattle can collection on the fender

Looks like may need a master cylinder & some wheel cylinders possibly, actually had quite a bit of brake lining left

Got some old sealer sprayed on here and there, just to kinda see what I've got, plus more help from the kids... black cherry metallic actually doesn't look too bad!
