My 70' Challenger R/T. It was my first car and I don't plan on ever selling it.

The car was originally my grandpa's and he gave the car to me on my 16th birthday.

The car was in pretty rough shape when I got it, it was in primer, had rust coming up and there were some dings in th doors. Definatly not pretty.

I used it as my daily driver for about a year and decided to do a restoration which ended up being easier then I thought cause my uncle restores and customizes cars for a living and has his own shop so my family really helped out alot.

This was the 383 that was in the car. My grandpa relpaced the old 383 with this one in the 90's or something. It ran okay but not well enough to make me wanna drive the car long distances.

Back of the car

Random picture. If you look around the rear window you can kinda make out some of the holes in the body.

The car up on the lift at my uncle's shop. Alot of corrosion from the salt in the winter.

I took the interior out to do some patch work on the floor. There were alot of rips in the seats and stuff so I had them re-done.

Really dirty. Took forever to clean it out.

JDeegs's 1970 Dodge Challenger

The trunk was just as bad.

Got the car in the paint booth at the shop. The primer that was on before had sat on the car for about 3 years before I got it and started to spider crack so i had to put a new coat of primer on.

JDeegs's 1970 Dodge Challenger

Got the primer done in about a hour.

JDeegs's 1970 Dodge Challenger

Before I could prime it I had to remove the rust and fill in any dents which took alot longer then I though it would.

JDeegs's 1970 Dodge Challenger

Unfortunatly i never took pics of it but we ended up sanding the chassis and primed and painted it up, came out looking tons better then before.

Here's the finished project. This was at my uncle's shop right after we pulled the tape off and got the emblems and trim put back on.

I painted it Sublime Green. I was deciding on either that, Go-Man-Go Orange, Snow White, or Jet Black but settled with green.

I went on a Mopar online catalog and found R/T emblems for the trunk and grille, looks meaner with them.

Along with the new paint we added a black stripe aross the rear of the car.

Got to paint the inside of the car so this was before I put the carpt and the rest of the interior back in.

JDeegs's 1970 Dodge Challenger

Got the interior re-upholstered. Looks really good now.

Everything inside the car is original except for the dash which was badly cracked so I went to the junkyard and somehow found a Challenger with a better dash.

My Sony headunit. This is a old pic back when I had the old rally dash in the car.

The new engine my dad and uncle put in for me. The 383 was going so I went on craigslist and found a 440 Six Pack crate engine in New Hampshire for $2700. Went up and got it the next day. It's got some bolt ons and whatnot like headers, exhaust, etc. Not gonna lie, it scares the shit out of me when i'm driving cause of the power it has now.

We went back after priming the car and re-painted the under carrage so it looks awesome now.
