no mines not secured to the ground, but i put in an old floor mat and that helps it stay in place. it does rarely slide around, but only wen i make hard quick turns. but about the amp, i was moslty lookin at the kicker one, there is one that is in the wattage range of my sub, but i will check out the rockford amps too.
