As I searched the web for more cars like mine I learned that when Chevy exports the Impala SS out of the country, it's name is changed to "Caprice SS". One of the links from Steve's Caprice Shop showed the use of the factory body script. So I went to Chevy and bought it!
The GM part number for the "Caprice SS" body script is: 10267037. There's also a dash script that says "Caprice SS", it's part number is: 10268239.
I then "blacked out" the wheel well trim and the rocker panels.

On one "outing" with my oldest daughter she said how much she liked the car and asked if I had a name for her. I said no. After talking about the things she liked the best about the car she came up with the name "Sophistcated RudeneSS" and the rest as they say, is history!!
In the spring of 2002 I added the last piece to my car...an Impala SS grille. You can see it here in this pic....

In the summer of 2002 I tore out the original ignition and replaced it with a MSD billet distibutor, MSD "Master Blaster" Coil, a MSD 6A Ignition Controler, and 8.5mm Super Conductor Ignition Wires.
I also added "SS" badging on the front fenders behind the wheel wells
