(new photos & info coming in Feb '08)
This is my 1988 Mercury Cougar XR7. I purchased this car in June 2002 as a replacement to my wrecked 1988 Cougar LS. I purchased the car knowing nothing of its past as the dealer had just picked it up at auction the day before. All sheet metal was black but 1/2 of it had a strange grayish haze all over it - we figured they were panels from a salvage car. But after 12 hours of buffing, polishing, waxing, and exposure to some damn powerful chemicals the car looked completely different.

The week I moved home from college was a disaster, a local business owner totaled the cougar when he ran a red light and hit the right front of the car. Hood, fender, header panel, lights, grill, all destroyed. His insurance company said it was worth $750. Bought it back for $75. I WILL NOT LET IT DIE!!

Work is done! Its driveable again! Still needs a few things (new strut) but it works for now. It's 3/4 Black and 1/4 Red, but i'm not arguing.

Absolutely nothing has been done since last year. It's now a weekend rumbler as I have a new SUV daily driver. Wife is going to help me fix a lot of things this spring to get it ready for cruising this summer.
