This is my 1966 Plymouth Barracuda that I bought at the begining of the summer in 2008 from a used car lot on 24 highway in Independence. The asking price was steep at $5900 when I first saw the car. I waited a few months when I had some cash saved and went up to make an offer.I drove the car home for significantly less and was determined to make this car unlike any other Cuda ever built. I am very old school when it comes to the style of cars I like. So I knew I wanted to customize this car like one built in the 60's or earlier. I own a couple of early Hemi's which got me thinkin' about making a gasser out of it. I soon realized that I did not have that kind of money. I then decided to build a mild 60's custom with influences from the 40's and 50's as well. Please take the time to rate my ride and leave a comment, let me know what you think. I'm always looking for more ideas on what to do to my ride.

The car was in great shape with just a little rust in the floors and frame rails. Someone had already re-done the rear quarters and rust was just starting to come back.

The interior was all original, other than the new carpet. The front seats had tears and the foam was dried out and falling apart, while the back seats are nearly perfect! The headliner was completely gone with just the rods remaining. The door and side panels were in great shape with just minor signs of moisture damage on the bottom edge.

The back carpet has already faded from the sun in the short time I have owned the car.

The motor in the car is a newer 225 slant six with a 904 tranny that the previous owner had put in. Both the motor and tranny leak horribly. Since its the newer slant six with the larger oil pan it caused the drag link to rub on the pan.
