Well, Here's the Nissan. It's a 1997 200sx se-r w/the SR20 motor in it. It's a quick little car even stock. But it has the potential to be a lot faster. Check it out tell me what you think. I'd appreciate any feedback I can get!

It's now going on year two with this SE-R and I don't have enough to show for it. During the summer I raised almost 2500 dollars to get my turbo project started. Where the hell did the money go? College killed almost every penny of it. By the time I had finished with all my dorm stuff I was down to 700 bucks!
I did end up with a decent final product though. I made a few new modifications including finally dropping the car down to where it needed to sit courtesy of some Eibach springs.
One of the cheapest and easiest changes I made was to the interior. It's now completely refinished in a black/silver theme. The silver matches the exterior of the car exactly and whole thing really flows nicely.
I've seen several interior paint jobs done on the 200 but none have come out this clean. The whole thing took about 6 hours and cost me 35 dollars. Everything unbolts except for the mid-console, that must be primed, painted, and clear coated inside the car which is not very fun.
I bought a nice set of indiglos from procarparts.com - cheap, pretty quick to install, didn't even take off the needles. They add a nice touch at night. I tried to purchase matching HVAC indiglos from nis-knacks but apparently they went out of bussiness. If anyone knows where I could get a set, that'd be great.
I still have those 10" MTX Thunder Series Subs with the matching MTX amp. Hey don't expect any earth-shaking rumbles coming from my car anytime soon. They sound decent though - better than I expected. Pioneer 6.5s all the way around that go with the Pioneer headunit. The fold down seats help here. I'm now in the market for a bigger amp 300 watts just ain't cuttin' it anymore.
This poor overlooked engine finally got some respect. No turbo. So no 13 second time slips, but it did receive a hotshot cold air intake and performance headers. I also promised exhaust if the turbo project failed but not only can I not decide on which cat-back to get but I can't afford one either. Im guessing HKS and Greddy have the best but Im open to better suggestions.
The intake was not as bolt-on as I thought. Theres an entire hole that must be ripped out of the inner fender in order to place the filter in the tire well and get the true cold air effect. It was a pain in the ass but I finished installing it the same day I received it and the gains could be felt almost across the entire RPM range. Plus with the headers, you get that nice all-engine kind of a sound, but without exhaust unfortunately very little exiting note change.

I guess project turbo was a failure for this year. I'll see a few extra horses during college thanks to a few simple bolt-ons but nothing like the gains I was looking for with the turbo. I guess there's always next year. At least then I won't have to make the decision between a thirteen second car or a laptop!
Check back soon for more updates, I'm having an alarm installed at Circuit City...I tried to do it myself but that was a joke.
Thanks for checkin out my ride guys! Summers been real. Go GATORS! Peace.
