I've owned my s13 since early 2001. I wouldn't even consider it a project at all, more like a tool to do what I like to do. For nearly 3 years the s13 remained stock. Stock body and stock motor until high school was out of the way. From there suspension crap and gradually different upgrades here and there. All work is done by myself.
