I prefer stock cars or rare examples if you do have somthing you would like to share. thanx!2002 CHEVY CAMARO SS 35th ANNIVERSARY EDITION 41,777 Camaros were built this year. 12,906 were Z/28s and 11,191 were SS models. On Sat. June 30, 2001 the 35th Anniversary Camaro was revealed for the first time to the public. A limited production of only 3,152 were built (3000 for the US and 152 for Canada) that included an exterior stripe package, machine edged SS wheels, 35th anniversary badges and 35th anniversary logos embroidered on special ebony/pewter leather seats. It came w/ the Corvette derived LS1 V8 engine that produced 325hp. The 35th anniversary of Camaro would also mark the end of its production and the last car rolled off the assembly line in September of 2001. 2001 CHEVY CAMARO INTIMIDATOR SS 23,021 Camaros were built this year. 4,166 were Z/28s and 6,332 were SS models. This year was the lowest in terms of sales numbers and led GM to discontinue the f-body the following year. This picture shows the Dale Earnhardt Intimidator SS that was limited to 83 models. It was specifcally made for Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, MI w/ Earnhardt's personal approval. On September 26, 1966 Chevrolet introduced the public to its newest family member... the Camaro. Sold as a '67 model the Camaros initial designs can be traced back to 1962. The Camaro (meaning "comrade" in French) was Chevys answer to th popularity of the Ford Mustang and had a starting price of $2,466. 1967 also marked the 1st year the Camaro was selected to pace the Indianapolis 500 on May 30th. Only two were built (along w/ additional replica cars) that included grab handles on the windshield frame & rear inside quater panels for the parading officials, flag supports on the rear tail panel & a hood lock to avoid tampering to the 325hp 396 that was connected to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission.
