2006 Ford GT (the Super Car) - a.k.a GT40
I purchased this 2006 Ford GT last year in the US. Car only has 1570 miles and hasn't even reached it's first oil change!
I can't own a vehicle and simply leave it alone. I must "tweak" it regardless of its age and/or value. I am addicted to modifications! So let the wrenchin' begin!!!
Here is a list of the modifications I plan to do.
Stainless Works Headers
Water Methanol Injection - custom
Supercharger - smaller diameter pulley
Short Shifter from Ford Racing
Rims - paint different color
Tires - Bridgestone Potenza
Tune - by Torrie at Unleashed Tuning
Here are pictures of the car before the mods.

Removed the seats and center console so I could get at the shifter.

Sub-woofer and seats removed.

Getting ready to install a new rubber gasket on the front engine access cover.

Before I picked up my car I paid the dealer to install a Ford Racing short shifter of which he said was installed. However the purchase of this GT did not go well. Needless to say I didn't trust him. So I thought I should check to see if it was installed. Guess what I found out? The short shifter was never installed!
Here are pics of the stock shifter before I removed it.

So I purchased the Ford Racing short shifter and installed it myself.

Here is a side by side comparison of the stock shifter with the new short shifter in front. Notice the difference in height of the blue support legs. The stock shifter has shorter support legs and the short shifter has longer support legs.
In a nutshell the short shifter has longer support legs. This moves the shifter pivot point higher on the shift lever which reduces the throw.

Short shifter installed.
