2002slvrlanceroz's 1984 BMW 3-Series

This is my 1984 BMW 318i, which I took off my mothers hands since it has been sitting in her garage for nearly 11 years! I have put alot of thought into this car, now I just need to decide which route I will take with her. First thing, is to get her out of that garage, do a fresh tune up and see if I can get her running real nice. After that, I guess I'll go where ever the paper takes us.

For being a '84 she looks awesome, original paint with minor blemishes and very little visible body rust only spot is on the rocker panel just behind the front driver wheel, it is only surface rust. As for the underbody its in excellent shape, it was well maintaned in its earlier years and must of been undercoated because there is hardly any major rust under it. Right now it has a M10 Inline 4 motor mated to a Getrag 240 transmission. I have had thoughts of swaping the motor out for a 2.7 Liter Inline 6 M20 motor and the transmission with a Getrag 260 Transmission. Another student recommended doing a M50 swap but I am not sure what I am going to do yet, I just want to get her started and running now.

Very nice car! Check out my E21! Another thing, you could always turbo it. It may be difficult to find a kit to fit it though.
