Hey everyone, my name's Justin and this is my 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL.
It is my pride and joy. I'm seventeen years old and i have to say i love having a car that people stop to look at. It has 118,000 original miles on it. clean title. and no, i'm sorry, but my parents did NOT buy it for me. i get that alot. i bought this car on my own. i worked at the Pittsburgh Marriot North to save up. i also traded my 1988 Dodge ram 50 for it. i restored this truck with my dad from the ground up.
Back to the 3000GT,
these are my current mods:
1. 17" Antera rims
2. Aftermarket foglights
3. Rear sway bar
4. Blue reverse lights
5. Blue to green glow gauges.
6. Oil pressure A pillar gauge (old interior in that shot)
7. K&N intake
8. Pioneer 6's in the doors
9. Pioneer 1's on the A pillars
10. Cerwin Vega 6x9's in the back seat
11. Kenwood deck (ipod interface)
12. Blue headlights (not sure if xenons or not, previous owner installed)
13. tinted black glass all around
14. New speaker covers (homemade)
15. Aftermarket Remote start and keyless entry
16. Aftermarket trim package
17. New front bumper mesh installed 3/5/09
18. Dual IllumiNITE 12" subs in ported box
along with 1000 Watt Kenwood amplifier (scosche wiring) installed 4/28/09
19. 3000GT logo across windshield in red (done by Keystone signs in Monaca)
20. One "adult sized" mitsu logo on the hatch (done by Keystone Signs in Monaca)
This past week (july 12th to 18th) has seen MANY updates. the engine bay has been redone and i got a front strut bar:
my calipurs have all been painted red:
i painted the faded tail piece:
And the entire interior has been done. ive installed a brand new dashboard from a 97 3k,
redid all the wiring harnesses to make the flips work, made a custom headliner,
got new front and backseats, all new doors,
custom floormats,
new carpet, new trim
new taillights and center garnish
and a new sunroof assembly. here are some pics of the process
Now all thats left to get done is a black paintjob, new exhaust and new rims (black w chrome lip if i cant find real nice chrome ones) on low pros. also i have all the parts for a manual conversion, i just cant afford to put it in yet haha. so drop some comments!
