Dave’s Volvo 850

I have been looking for an 850R for a long time now, 3 years to be exact.  I have driven and looked at more 850Rs than I care to admit.  I currently live in Northern VA and saw a listing for a 97 850R in Gray on Autotrader.com.  I thought it must be black since they did not make any Gray 850Rs in the US.

Well after talking with the dealer North Side Ford more they read off the Color Code on the chassis.  427!!  Graphite Gray Metallic.  I bought the car for 3k under what they were listing it for and shipped it up to my house in Northern VA.  It sits in my driveway with 90k miles on it and works perfectly.

I am doing preventative maintenance items to the car such as timing belt and water pump and maybe soon some performance mods.  I got a hold of Volvo US and Sweden and they said they only made one 85 0R 427 in US Spec... and I have it.  Enjoy!

As a fellow 850 enthusiast, I really like the stock volans that were on this car, and the wheel color is awesome. Since this is such a rare car, I would roll with the stock wheels as it already is so different from the rest with respect to ultra rarity. Comets are kewl wheels, but I like the Volans better- I am in process of creating a car page of my own... later! Awesome ride.
