Update: I'm running out of things to play with on the car that don't cost thousands upon thousands to do. I'm in the mood to seriously move on, and am entertaining offers. I'm asking 12k for the car as it sits (minus the playstation 2, that's it) plus everything I still have for it (8 injector setup, 48lb mustang injectors, quite a few more goodies). Only reason I want to get rid of it as the only way to enjoy modding it anymore is to redo things I've already done, so I think I'm gonna start with a new project and pick up a lancer evolution. e-mail me at glacius@asog.net if you have any questions about the car or any offers you may have (I'm open to any and all offers, just not saying I'll take it)
****all new exterior pics are under construction at the moment. The car will be painted within 2 weeks or so but I wanted to give u guys a new taste of what's to come****
I bought this car 5 years ago in the summer of 98 after I let my brother borrow my 87 Honda CRX which he subsequently blew up within a half hour of driving.
I didn't want a car I was going to mess with alot after the CRX. I had been through the jap spec swaps, had a webber side draft carb, bored block and decked the head for more displacement, I just wanted something that looked good and I could drive.. so I bought the avenger. The pic to the right is about 4 years old, roughly a month or so after I bought the car, and lots has changed, but it's a pic of where it's come from!
That lasted for all of about 2 weeks. I kept it mild with just a set of rims and an intake, then I realized what could be done and that nobody was going that route. I lowered it, had it repainted, carbon fiber hood, new wing, redid the interior, and had it to quite a show stopper, but then got the power bug.
I put a hahn racecraft turbo setup on it, contacted HKS of USA and got some help from them, started building and rebuilding my setup to get the most power from it possible.
As it sits now it's the very first 2.2 liter stroked Dodge Avenger in the country, and one of the very few turbo ones, but with plenty of show quality upgrades on top of that.
Most pics on here right now are outdated. The wing isn't on the car anymore, it's going to have a carbon fiber factory lip spoiler on it now. I'll try and have some new pics up shortly once it leaves the paint shop
Please visit the other pages for information and modifications on the car.
I'd also like to add in for the other Avengers on the site that for the love of god, they never made R/T avengers, GTS Avengers, an all-motor v6 with a buncha weight isn't going to run 12.8's @ 94mph. Avengers can be one of the most respectible cars on the street with the proper mods, like mine and a few others have on the site, both 4 and 6 cylinder alike. Even if it's still slow, be proud that it's a dead sexy car that's not seen at every redlight. Putting R/T badges and what not on your car is no different then the Civic DX with Type R badges on it, so if that's your thing, don't ever make fun of a Honda :) Keepin' it real
