Welcome to my MX-5 page. It all started when I went to test-drive a very nice BMW E46 320i. The Beemer was in tiptop shape and the price was attractive to say the least. 10 days later I bought an MX-5. Guess at 27 I'm still not ready to be a grown-up. I've actually always wanted one, but never needed one, as I already have two other cars, one of which now has to be sold unfortunately.
Except for a few parking lot dents that can be expected on a car with 203000km's on the clock, she's in very good nick. This was the first Mk1 MX-5 I actually drove and in spite of my very high expectations, the driving experience was even better than I expected. Afterwards people must have thought I was retarded because I couldn't get that stupid smile off my face.
My first MX-5 encounter was in 2006 when I visited a friend in Japan. We hired a Mk2 1.8 for a day (20000yen) and travelled to the island of Amakusa where you can find the best driving roads on earth (and some nice empty parking lots)
