1966 Mustang coupe, 289 with a 3-spd transmission. (previously a 6cyl)
Well i'm 18 years old and this is my 1st project car. Its been great, and i look forward to its completion. When i got the mustang, it was a complete rust bucket. The Quarterpanels, floor pans, trunk, and other areas were shot. The interior had become home to many rats, and was trashed. The only redeeming quality about this car was it started right up, and ran great! It was originally a 6cyl, but one of the previous owners swapped the 289 in and upgraded the transmission.(still a 3-spd though).
So far all of the major body work is done with the exceptions of the quarter panels. I expect to cut those off withen the next two weeks. I cut all of the floor pans out, welded new ones in, and sealed the seems with a layer of fiberglass. The only work done to the engine so far is the installation of an Edelbroke 289 performer intake, and new spark plugs/wires. A new custom exhaust has also been put on. It's Duel 2 1/2'' pipe out of the headers into 28 inch glass packs. It then makes a 65 angle and comes out right before the back tires. I'm also converting the front drums to disk brakes presently. Hopefully i'll get some new pics of everything on here soon.

I hope to make this car like no other. A true mix between new and old school. All oldschool exterior, but i have a 7 1/2'' dvd player to put in, and racing seats. Not to mention i plan on overhauling the whole sound system. The plan is to have this car mostly finished by early summer.
All thoughts, comments and suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
