This is my old 1996 Mazda Protege, the cars motor is a 1.5L 16-valve DOHC with 300,000km on it.

This car did me good over the 9 months i had it... but i'd also like to add the fact that it costs me about $1000 in repairs over that time.

The car pretty much had no mods done to it, it had a custom shifter knob, pedals, and a 2" aftermarket tachometer.

I wasn't exactly easy on this car, all four wheels have left the ground while driving... more than once, i was e-brake "drifting" it, hit a curb and bent the front passenger wheel under the car. When i finished my last exam in high school i was pretty damn happy, jumped and kicked myself off the front fender, then later i was pissed and punched pretty much the same spot... you can see the dent in one of the pictures.

The tachometer is just to the left of the steering wheel. You can see it on the left picture.

Mazdas just can't take a beating. LOL. My first car took a lot of heck too. Between running it over a fallen tree(how I lost my first exhaust which happened to be a 4 foot section of drainpipe) and being hit by an idiot flying off of a quad, not to mention when my friend who weighs a bit sat on it...we all have memories of our first cars don't we? :-)
