My car is a work in progress as well as a daily drive, so dont be too harsh. There is a lot to put right with it first before I can go the extra mile.
Its a 1994 1.8is in chaste white.
It had 99000 miles on the clock but full history.
This is how it was when I first picked the car up. Under trees where it had been standing - absolutely filthy.
The Hood was reasonably new, and is genuine mazda.
I got the car home and started to clean and then plan mods.
The interior was very tidy if lacking a bit of character.
The Engine bay was perhaps the most dirty ive seen, im still pulling leaves and stuff out of there. The car had been standing under trees so long thet it had its own ecosystem.
My first Mod to the car. A set of beautiful OZ Ultraleggera 15" wheels in crystal titanium. Im not into big wheels on my car as im all about keeping the handling as tight as possible.
I have already had loads of nice comments about the wheels.
they are just off silver. I like them loads.
My next mod was to replace the badly rusted and rattling exhaust system. I chose a Larini system exhaust. They make aftermarket exhausts for top of the line European super cars including Lambo's and Astons. they also do a system for the MX-5/Miata. Its fully stainless steal. Not too loud with only 2" pipe work, but more a of a gentlemanns sports exhaust.
I chose the 4" tip, but its not actually a 4" opening but packed as you might be able to see. It fitted the opening perfectly with no adjustment needed. The quality of the system was very high and I recently had a jap performance garage comment on the quality of the system.
Ive already taken out the Clarion cassette head unit and replaced with a modern clarion head unit, heavy gauge speaker cable, infinity component speakers and a clarion 7" mini sub woofer along with several sheets of dynomat. While im not after a big ICE install I want to hear my tunes.
There are a few rust issues to deal with particularly on the rear arches which need some serious work - but thats the hevily salted UK roads for you. Im booked in to sort the body wrk plus the additions in early september.
Ive plenty more to come on here - should have most on by mid septemper including Greddy emanage, JRCAI, BRP M45 Coldside supercharger, KYB AGX shocks, FM springs, FM sway bars, Racing beat drop links, Hard dog deuce, Racing beat type 1 nose, racing beat rear fairing kit, racing beat type 1 rear spoiler, Mazda rear lower lip spoiler, headlamp lid intake.
Ill update as I have more news.
Ive also loads of other smaller mods such as Raybrig headlights waiting for the car once it comes back from my mechanic and bodyshop.
